It's that time of year again!

What a Summer we've had, OK maybe not with the weather, but everyone in the country must feel some form of British pride! It started way back with the Jubilee celebrations, then the Olympics, the Paralympics, Andy Murray winning the US Open. And of course what's more British than a good pint of Real Ale!

We've had a good Summer ourselves here at Dunham Massey, early on we found out that our official brewery tap, Costello's Bar in Altrincham, had won Trafford & Hulme CAMRA Pub of the Year 2012! Succesfully following up on last years Pub of the Season for Summer 2011. Then we were informed that Chocolate Cherry Mild had been crowned Speciality Beer of Britain down at the Great British Beer Festival in London! And now we have just found out the results of CAMRA's Pub of the Year for Greater Manchester, The Baum in Rochdale was the overall winner, to whom we'd like to offer many congratulations! But we're extremely honoured that Costello's has been chosen as runner up, considering the bar hasn't even been open 2 years yet, this is quite an achievement!

So all in all it's been a great Summer, but now we move into Autumn, but it's not all bad news because Green Hop Beer is back!

Yes the wait is over, it was brewed last week, and we distributed to pubs this week! For those of you who aren't familiar with our Green Hop Beer, it's an annual beer brewed using our very own hops grown at the brewery, we literally pick the hops straight off the vine and into the copper! It's a light, refreshing, easy drinking, fresh hopped beer. The following pubs have had a firkin delivered, so hopefully you'll be able to get some!
